Jesse House passed on December 22, 2015, just shy of his 80th birthday. Born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, he spent most of his life residing in Sonoma County including 38 years in Healdsburg and 35 years in Santa Rosa. He is predeceased by his parents, Alice and Jesse Lee House; and siblings, Lois Garrison, Ruth Glenn, and James House. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Dolores House of Santa Rosa; his son, Jesse “Paul” House, Jr., of Cloverdale; and his daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Steve Baker of Healdsburg. Also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Carol House of Cloverdale; and sister, Lin Cadd, of Santa Rosa. Additionally survived by his extended “family” of talented musicians, numerous friends, great neighbors, cousins, nieces, and nephews – in particular his special nephew and good buddy, Jim House of Dayton, NV. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict. He also enjoyed working various jobs throughout his career, including at Idaco Lumber in Healdsburg, and was especially proud of being self-employed for more than 30 years in the trucking business as Jesse House Trucking. He particularly enjoyed spending time with his family, being on a boat wherever the fish were biting, lounging at his Eagle Lake property, annual crabbing treks to Oregon, as well as campouts and jam sessions playing his guitar and singing with great pals. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Fred Young Funeral Home, 428 North Cloverdale Blvd., Cloverdale, Ca. Interment will be private at Oak Mound Cemetery, Healdsburg.
