Norman “Bud” Ward, 85, passed away on February 23, 2016 in Healdsburg, California. Bud was born on January 15, 1931 in Thalia Texas, to Walter Ward and Fay Worley.
Bud lived in Sonoma County for most of his life. Bud joined the Navy at the age of 17 and was assigned to the destroyer; USS Abbot. After the Navy; he returned to Sonoma County and became an apprentice carpenter and then a carpenter and continued to work in the industry for the next 30 years.
Bud married Betty Inman in 1958 in Santa Rosa, California. They were happily married for 51 years. Bud enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and being a member of the Sonoma Valley Muzzleloaders. Bud was a loving man who cherished his family and friends.
Bud was extremely proud of his children; Sandy (Charles) Rardin of Petaluma, Karen Hargon of Healdsburg, Robert (S’leta) Ward of Windsor, Connie (Eric) Gustafson of Merlin, Oregon and Brad Ward of Santa Rosa. Grandchildren; David, Christina, Jennifer, Nicholas, Michael, Rachel, Ryan and Dylan. Great Grandchildren; Joey, Donovan, Madison, Hershel, Weston and Wyatt.
