Luke Tedeschi died June 20, 2017 at the age of 92. He was born August 8, 1924, at home in Geyserville, California to parents Luigi and Orientina Tedeschi, immigrants from northern Tuscany. He is survived by eight beloved nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister Lillian Bagnani and brothers Louis, Paul, Albi, Henry, and August. Luke was a veteran of the Second World War, serving in the US Army. For his service he received the Army of Occupation Medal, Purple Heart with one Oak Leaf, World War II Victory Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, and the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal with Arrowhead. He worked for many years managing ranches in Sonoma County and was also a longtime employee at Geyser Peak Winery. He loved fishing and hunting, dancing with his friend Olga, working in his garden, making wine, and the company of his family and friends. A service will be held at St. John's Catholic Church in Healdsburg on Monday, June 26, at 11:00 a.m. Luke's family would like to specially thank Healdsburg Senior Living for their wonderful care.
